One of the advantages of living in Southern California is that we don’t have to pay much attention to the weather. Okay, so it’s really the only benefit worth noting because everything else out here is awful. But since I don’t pay attention to the weather, I had to learn about the coming “bomb cyclone” from conspiracy theory boards.
What I learned was concerning. The scuttlebutt on the boards claims the powers-that-be are engaged in weather manipulation to make this winter as unbearable as possible. They claim there are two primary reasons. The first is obvious: Any extreme weather events are fuel for their climate change fires. They jump on crazy storms to blame climate change faster than gun-grabbers jump on mass shootings to push their agenda.
The second is a bit less obvious but even more concerning. With our nation and the world already experiencing simultaneous food, energy, and economic crises on top of Pandemic Panic Theater and growing tensions between nations, a harsh winter will be devastating for millions in America and billions across the globe. This is why I’m so bullish about recommending preparedness above everything other than spreading the Gospel. The people need get ready both physically and spiritually.
But one does not have to buy into theories of weather manipulation to see the writing on the wall. Extreme weather today will have its greatest impact in decades. When food, energy, money, and shelter are abundant as they’ve been in recent decades, we can weather the storm both literally and figuratively.
Is this an attack by the globalist elite cabal? Is it a message from God? Is it just bad luck that this and other events are happening all at once? These aren’t questions we need to answer for direction because no matter what the root cause, our path forward remains the same. Prepare spiritually. Prepare physically. Spread the word. Here’s Michael Snyder from The Economic Collapse Blog with details about the coming “bomb cyclone”…
This Is Not Normal! The Nation Braces for a ‘Bomb Cyclone’ That Will Bring ‘the Coldest Air in Decades’
We are only at the very beginning of winter, and we are already being hit by a storm that will bring “the coldest air in decades” to many parts of the country. In fact, there will be some areas where wind chill temperatures drop so low that it will literally be “life-threatening” to be outside. Needless to say, we could really use some of that “global warming” they keep talking about right now, because conditions are going to be bitterly cold all over the U.S. this week. For years, I have been warning that global weather patterns are starting to go completely nuts, and this winter is certainly off to an extremely bizarre beginning. If you live in a place that will get hit really hard this week, please be safe.
According to the Weather Channel, the giant storm that has begun to sweep across the nation is known as “Winter Storm Elliott”, and it could “become a bomb cyclone over the Great Lakes later this week”…
A major storm – named Winter Storm Elliott by The Weather Channel – could become a bomb cyclone over the Great Lakes later this week and bring blizzard conditions to parts of the Midwest as well as high winds to the East Coast, snarling travel in the days leading up to the Christmas holiday weekend.
This developing storm will also usher in bitterly cold air to much of the nation as far south as Texas, the Gulf Coast and Florida.
So exactly what is a “bomb cyclone”?
Well, normally a storm is considered to have undergone bombogenesis “if its minimum surface pressure drops by at least 24 millibars in 24 hours or less”…
As a rule of thumb, meteorologists refer to a strengthening low as “bombing out” or undergoing bombogenesis if its minimum surface pressure drops by at least 24 millibars in 24 hours or less, though that criteria also depends on a storm’s latitude.
Meteorologists frequently discuss pressure in terms of millibars, rather than inches of mercury.
The reason this all matters beyond just a weather geeky statistic is the lower the pressure in a storm, the more intense it is. And the greater difference in pressure over an area, the stronger the winds.
Of course we have seen “bomb cyclones” before, but this one is truly a monster.
If you can believe it, this storm will cover nearly the entire country east of the Rocky Mountains later this week.

I have never seen anything quite like this.
This storm will bring tremendous amounts of snow to many areas, but the main threat that it poses are the extremely cold temperatures that it will bring.
According to AccuWeather, some parts of the nation will shortly be experiencing “the coldest air in decades”…

A burst of Arctic air that AccuWeather meteorologists have been monitoring since last week is poised to plunge the eastern two-thirds of the United States into a deep freeze ahead of Christmas, bringing the coldest air in decades to some areas and causing heating demands to sky rocket.
Subfreezing and, in some cases, subzero temperatures are expected to grip areas from the northern Rockies to the Plains, East and South. The mercury could dip to 25-50 degrees Fahrenheit below late-December averages during the height of the cold.
Some of the forecasts that I have seen are more than a little bit frightening.
For instance, Accuweather is telling us that temperatures in Montana and North Dakota “could dip as low as 30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit below zero”…
By the middle of the week, a reinforcing burst of Arctic air will send temperatures well below zero. Temperatures could dip as low as 30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit below zero in some areas of Montana or North Dakota, which would come close to a stretch of extreme cold observed back in 1983 and 1989. Records from the cold outbreaks during those years still set the standard for cold air around Christmastime in much of the northern and eastern U.S.
That is cold!
And we are being warned that temperatures in Minnesota could also reach 40 degrees below zero near the end of the week…
Meteorologists in the Twin Cities forecasted wind chills as cold as minus 40 F Thursday through Friday. Even locations as far south as Orlando, Florida, could potentially see below-freezing conditions this week, according to AccuWeather meteorologist Alex DaSilva.
These extraordinarily low temperatures will also be accompanied by high winds.
This will create extreme blizzard conditions in some portions of the country, and in some cases we will see wind chill temperatures that look like they have been pulled out of a Hollywood disaster film.
This week tens of millions of Americans are about to experience one of the coldest days of their life.
Wind chills as cold as -70F in Wyoming and Montana, negative wind chills as far south Austin, Texas, and even single-digit wind chills in the Florida Panhandle.

In some areas, the snow has already begun.
For instance, it was being projected that some parts of Washington state would receive “up to 24 inches of additional snow” on Tuesday. By the time we get to the weekend, nearly the entire nation will have been hit by this colossal storm.
I wish that I could tell you that this is just an anomaly. But it isn’t.
Global weather patterns have been going haywire for quite a while, and it just keeps getting worse with each passing year. So if you think that things are bad now, just wait until you see what happens in 2023 and beyond…

Five Things New “Preppers” Forget When Getting Ready for Bad Times Ahead
The preparedness community is growing faster than it has in decades. Even during peak times such as Y2K, the economic downturn of 2008, and Covid, the vast majority of Americans made sure they had plenty of toilet paper but didn’t really stockpile anything else.
Things have changed. There’s a growing anxiety in this presidential election year that has prompted more Americans to get prepared for crazy events in the future. Some of it is being driven by fearmongers, but there are valid concerns with the economy, food supply, pharmaceuticals, the energy grid, and mass rioting that have pushed average Americans into “prepper” mode.
There are degrees of preparedness. One does not have to be a full-blown “doomsday prepper” living off-grid in a secure Montana bunker in order to be ahead of the curve. In many ways, preparedness isn’t about being able to perfectly handle every conceivable situation. It’s about being less dependent on government for as long as possible. Those who have proper “preps” will not be waiting for FEMA to distribute emergency supplies to the desperate masses.
Below are five things people new to preparedness (and sometimes even those with experience) often forget as they get ready. All five are common sense notions that do not rely on doomsday in order to be useful. It may be nice to own a tank during the apocalypse but there’s not much you can do with it until things get really crazy. The recommendations below can have places in the lives of average Americans whether doomsday comes or not.

Secured Wealth
Whether in the bank or held in a retirement account, most Americans feel that their life’s savings is relatively secure. At least they did until the last couple of years when de-banking, geopolitical turmoil, and the threat of Central Bank Digital Currencies reared their ugly heads.
It behooves Americans to diversify their holdings. If there’s a triggering event or series of events that cripple the financial systems or devalue the U.S. Dollar, wealth can evaporate quickly. To hedge against potential turmoil, many Americans are looking in two directions: Crypto and physical precious metals.
There are huge advantages to cryptocurrencies, but there are also inherent risks because “virtual” money can become challenging to spend. Add in the push by central banks and governments to regulate or even replace cryptocurrencies with their own versions they control and the risks amplify. There’s nothing wrong with cryptocurrencies today but things can change rapidly.
As for physical precious metals, many Americans pay cash to keep plenty on hand in their safe. Rolling over or transferring retirement accounts into self-directed IRAs is also a popular option, but there are caveats. It can often take weeks or even months to get the gold and silver shipped if the owner chooses to close their account. This is why Genesis Gold Group stands out. Their relationship with the depositories allows for rapid closure and shipping, often in less than 10 days from the time the account holder makes their move. This can come in handy if things appear to be heading south.
Lots of Potable Water
One of the biggest shocks that hit new preppers is understanding how much potable water they need in order to survive. Experts claim one gallon of water per person per day is necessary. Even the most conservative estimates put it at over half-a-gallon. That means that for a family of four, they’ll need around 120 gallons of water to survive for a month if the taps turn off and the stores empty out.
Being near a fresh water source, whether it’s a river, lake, or well, is a best practice among experienced preppers. It’s necessary to have a water filter as well, even if the taps are still working. Many refuse to drink tap water even when there is no emergency. Berkey was our previous favorite but they’re under attack from regulators so the Alexapure systems are solid replacements.
For those in the city or away from fresh water sources, storage is the best option. This can be challenging because proper water storage containers take up a lot of room and are difficult to move if the need arises. For “bug in” situations, having a larger container that stores hundreds or even thousands of gallons is better than stacking 1-5 gallon containers. Unfortunately, they won’t be easily transportable and they can cost a lot to install.
Water is critical. If chaos erupts and water infrastructure is compromised, having a large backup supply can be lifesaving.
Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies
There are multiple threats specific to the medical supply chain. With Chinese and Indian imports accounting for over 90% of pharmaceutical ingredients in the United States, deteriorating relations could make it impossible to get the medicines and antibiotics many of us need.
Stocking up many prescription medications can be hard. Doctors generally do not like to prescribe large batches of drugs even if they are shelf-stable for extended periods of time. It is a best practice to ask your doctor if they can prescribe a larger amount. Today, some are sympathetic to concerns about pharmacies running out or becoming inaccessible. Tell them your concerns. It’s worth a shot. The worst they can do is say no.
If your doctor is unwilling to help you stock up on medicines, then Jase Medical is a good alternative. Through telehealth, they can prescribe daily meds or antibiotics that are shipped to your door. As proponents of medical freedom, they empathize with those who want to have enough medical supplies on hand in case things go wrong.
Energy Sources
The vast majority of Americans are locked into the grid. This has proven to be a massive liability when the grid goes down. Unfortunately, there are no inexpensive remedies.
Those living off-grid had to either spend a lot of money or effort (or both) to get their alternative energy sources like solar set up. For those who do not want to go so far, it’s still a best practice to have backup power sources. Diesel generators and portable solar panels are the two most popular, and while they’re not inexpensive they are not out of reach of most Americans who are concerned about being without power for extended periods of time.
Natural gas is another necessity for many, but that’s far more challenging to replace. Having alternatives for heating and cooking that can be powered if gas and electric grids go down is important. Have a backup for items that require power such as manual can openers. If you’re stuck eating canned foods for a while and all you have is an electric opener, you’ll have problems.
Don’t Forget the Protein
When most think about “prepping,” they think about their food supply. More Americans are turning to gardening and homesteading as ways to produce their own food. Others are working with local farmers and ranchers to purchase directly from the sources. This is a good idea whether doomsday comes or not, but it’s particularly important if the food supply chain is broken.
Most grocery stores have about one to two weeks worth of food, as do most American households. Grocers rely heavily on truckers to receive their ongoing shipments. In a crisis, the current process can fail. It behooves Americans for multiple reasons to localize their food purchases as much as possible.
Long-term storage is another popular option. Canned foods, MREs, and freeze dried meals are selling out quickly even as prices rise. But one component that is conspicuously absent in shelf-stable food is high-quality protein. Most survival food companies offer low quality “protein buckets” or cans of meat, but they are often barely edible.
Prepper All-Naturals offers premium cuts of steak that have been cooked sous vide and freeze dried to give them a 25-year shelf life. They offer Ribeye, NY Strip, and Tenderloin among others.
Having buckets of beans and rice is a good start, but keeping a solid supply of high-quality protein isn’t just healthier. It can help a family maintain normalcy through crises.
Prepare Without Fear
With all the challenges we face as Americans today, it can be emotionally draining. Citizens are scared and there’s nothing irrational about their concerns. Being prepared and making lifestyle changes to secure necessities can go a long way toward overcoming the fears that plague us. We should hope and pray for the best but prepare for the worst. And if the worst does come, then knowing we did what we could to be ready for it will help us face those challenges with confidence.

It’s not conspiracy, it’s the solar cycle that is like the 1675 Maunder Solar Minimum. It is supposed to hit a minimum sun spot activity about now through 2030, with the absolute low around 2025. This has been known about for over a decade and has followed predictions since then. Look for this decade to be dry and cold according to those predictions. Solar activity won’t be really ‘normal’ for until 2040 or so.
“This Is Not Normal! The Nation Braces for a ‘Bomb Cyclone’ That Will Bring ‘the Coldest Air in Decades’”
It absolutely is normal.
Cyclical.
In the 70s we saw this and had sever blizzards for a few years.
So bad it was, that they used it to predict THE COMING ICE AGE that was going to virtually end all life on earth. (Sound familiar?)
Learn to deal with it, people.
This isn’t anything special.
Our past is riddled with these on a periodic basis.
The reason is a volcanic eruption this year which put enough dust in the atmosphere to cool things down. It was the first one inquire some time which is why we have had warm weather. Global warming is a hoax- it is all about the weather and nothing to do with carbon dioxide.
What’s not normal is the language being used as fear porn. What is now called an ‘atmospheric river’ used to be call the jet stream. A bomb cyclone is just an old fashioned blizzard.
There’s random severe & mild weather within cyclical weather patterns within annual cyclical weather patterns within 7 year cycles within 100 year cycles, within 1000 year cycles.
When you understand that northern states & Canada were covered in over a mile of ice 13,000 years ago, and is now covered in vast, dense boreal forests, you’ll understand man’s affect on the weather is a fart in the wind. Amy affect industrialized society has on the weather is wiped out during the next cycle.
Carbon Dioxide is a beneficial gas, and is currently at a near record low when compare to eons past. Climate change is just the global warming scam. There’s a limited amount of resources on earth. So scheming wealthy men created a phony resource to mine & buy and sell and get rich off from, as is being done with carbon credits and the whole green industry scam.
I agree with Recognizing Truth
These are normal cycles…we’ve only been recording temperatures accurately for less than 150 years too so how do we know what the weather was like in the last 15,000 years? Core samples aren’t going to do it.
I thought this was an article by JD Rucker but it turns out it was authored by Michael Snyder, is he running cover for him now because he’s a terrible writer?
When I came to Rochester NY from Memphis I was amazed at how casual natives treated snow. Eight or ten inches was ho hum. Today, due to the 24 hr news cycle, the generally frightened society, & the misplaced emphasis on climate, every prediction portends calamity.
I recall storms in 66 and 77 of several ft. that were not predicted. We are being programmed to be scared.
