As the director and producer of “Ukraine on Fire,” a documentary featuring legendary filmmaker Oliver Stone, Lopatonok has been following the Western revolution in Ukraine for nearly a decade. Beginning his Twitter thread on Nuland, the filmmaker explained her grandparents were from Moldova and Belarus, which may make things personal for her.
