More than 330,000 people have visited Taylor Swift’s custom link to a voting registration page less than 24 hours after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, the General Services Administration (GSA) noted on Wednesday.
Swift endorsed Harris after the presidential debate on Tuesday night, where Harris battled former President Donald Trump for the first time. Both sides have claimed victory in the debate.
A GSA spokesperson confirmed that at least 337,826 people had followed the custom link that Swift posted to her Instagram as of 2 p.m. Eastern, according to NBC News. The link sends users to vote.gov, which the GSA oversees. The website provides information on registering to vote in each state, and also provides information on the voting process.
Swift claimed on Tuesday that she supports Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz because she “did her research” and found that Harris aligns more with the “rights and causes” that she believes needs to be “championed.” […]
