Earlier this month, Townhall covered how Democrat Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX) ran a campaign ad claiming to care about the border crisis. This happened despite the fact that Allred previously claimed that former President Donald Trump’s border wall was “racist.”
In a statement to Fox News, Allred spokesperson Josh Stewart said, “Congressman Allred is laser focused on solutions supported by both parties to fix our broken immigration system and secure our border.”
Then, the spokesperson went on to attack Republican Rep. Ted Cruz, who represents Texas.
“Ted Cruz has been in the Senate 12 years and has nothing to show for it. He tanked bipartisan legislation that would secure our border. Lyin’ Ted only cares about himself, and Texans know he will never be part of a real solution,” Steward added.
Over the weekend, Allred said in an interview that Cruz and Alexis Nungaray, the mother of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungary, who was raped and murdered by two illegal aliens, were using her death for “political gain.” Cruz has been running ads with Alexis Nungaray. […]
