(Zero Hedge)—Discussions on collapse often turn to signs and signals – The economy, politics and social tensions have become increasingly unstable for many years now, and much like adding more and more weight to a man standing on a frozen lake, eventually the ice is going to break. The question is, how do we know when that moment will be?
As cultural systems begins to dissolve due to political clashes and economic decline the real evil tends to slither out of the woodwork. It happens slowly at first, then all at once. A sure sign of accelerating collapse is the growing prevalence of psychopaths and psychopathic behavior in the open.
The US appears to have entered the middle stages of such a collapse with many sociopaths and psychopaths beginning to feel that they might be able to act out their worst impulses without consequences. They are beginning to test the waters to see what they can get away with.
In the past ten years there has been a dramatic uptick in mass violence and theft. With the advent of social media it is now easier than ever for spontaneously planned riots to form with little warning, and in most cases these mobs are random in who and what they attack. They might organize in the name of politics or activism, but they tend to lash out at whatever targets are closest or easiest rather than the people they blame for their travails.
In most cases these events result in simple property destruction in urban areas, but more and more there has been an underlying and aggressive impulse to hurt people. There will come a time very soon when the the goal is not just to steal or vandalize, but to use instability as a smokescreen; a distraction the provides opportunities to harm others.
Psychopaths like to exploit the chaos of political turmoil to indulge their violent tendencies, or to convince others to do the same. If no one acts to eliminate the first wave of criminal actions during a social breakdown, then thousands of other criminals will also move to take advantage. The first wave becomes an avalanche, all because the system no longer provides sufficient incentives to behave.
The root psychology is hard to explain, but look at it this way – Imagine a spoiled toddler is kept in check by his parents in the pristine halls of a delicate museum. The toddler might throw fits, screaming and shouting because he wants to touch the many fragile items around him, but at least his parents are there to hold him back. He has not yet learned the responsibility and maturity necessary to have access to these treasures. Now imagine removing the parents entirely and telling the toddler there are no rules anymore?
The rush of joy he experiences is exhilarating; it is the feeling of sudden and unearned power. No one is around to stop him, therefore, he is going to test his own limits. He sees the ordered environment around him and he becomes frustrated. How dare this place restrict him with boundaries and structure. His first inclination is to destroy anything that he can get his hands on.
Now understand that there is a portion of any given adult population that has these same tendencies. They never grew up. They want to take or destroy what they cannot have; they are only waiting for the opportunity to do so without repercussions.
At this phase of a breakdown when the dominoes begin to topple, law enforcement generally folds and retreats, leaving the public with no first line of defense. Gangs and looters organize quickly and take territory rather than just taking people’s possessions. Organized crime at the local level leads to large scale death and minimal opposition. People are so isolated and busy trying to scrape together a meager economic lifeline that they have no time or motivation to fight back.

The point of no return comes when regular people are afraid to leave their homes. Organization at the neighborhood level with an aggressive posture must be enacted or the most vicious attacks will be visited on the population.
Sometimes, though, the psychopaths we have to deal with during a collapse are within the very government that is supposed to protect our liberties. This is a situation in which the criminals are given license to use violence against the citizenry through the illusion of law. The populace is then confronted with the inevitable question – Are laws worth following when psychopaths write them?
When corrupt people run government, good becomes evil and evil becomes good. Consider the extreme double standards in place between the treatment of leftist activist mobs and conservative protesters. Look at the government and media response to the BLM riots versus their response to the Jan 6 event. In the case of the capitol “riots”, police fired rubber bullets and tear gas into the otherwise peaceful crowd, then when the protesters reacted violently, they were accused of “insurrection.”
Is there any example of this kind of setup used against the political left? No. Instead, the media and public officials describe the destructive mobs as “fiery but mostly peaceful.”
The double standard is absurd, but then again, it’s meant to be. Why? Because the psychopaths among the political left were being rewarded and encouraged. Conservatives and moderates are supposed to feel defeated, making them unwilling to fight back any longer. These are the kinds of conditions that fuel unhinged and predatory people, unleashing them on the population.
When psychopaths feel protected, total upheaval quickly follows.
Five Things New “Preppers” Forget When Getting Ready for Bad Times Ahead
The preparedness community is growing faster than it has in decades. Even during peak times such as Y2K, the economic downturn of 2008, and Covid, the vast majority of Americans made sure they had plenty of toilet paper but didn’t really stockpile anything else.
Things have changed. There’s a growing anxiety in this presidential election year that has prompted more Americans to get prepared for crazy events in the future. Some of it is being driven by fearmongers, but there are valid concerns with the economy, food supply, pharmaceuticals, the energy grid, and mass rioting that have pushed average Americans into “prepper” mode.
There are degrees of preparedness. One does not have to be a full-blown “doomsday prepper” living off-grid in a secure Montana bunker in order to be ahead of the curve. In many ways, preparedness isn’t about being able to perfectly handle every conceivable situation. It’s about being less dependent on government for as long as possible. Those who have proper “preps” will not be waiting for FEMA to distribute emergency supplies to the desperate masses.
Below are five things people new to preparedness (and sometimes even those with experience) often forget as they get ready. All five are common sense notions that do not rely on doomsday in order to be useful. It may be nice to own a tank during the apocalypse but there’s not much you can do with it until things get really crazy. The recommendations below can have places in the lives of average Americans whether doomsday comes or not.

Secured Wealth
Whether in the bank or held in a retirement account, most Americans feel that their life’s savings is relatively secure. At least they did until the last couple of years when de-banking, geopolitical turmoil, and the threat of Central Bank Digital Currencies reared their ugly heads.
It behooves Americans to diversify their holdings. If there’s a triggering event or series of events that cripple the financial systems or devalue the U.S. Dollar, wealth can evaporate quickly. To hedge against potential turmoil, many Americans are looking in two directions: Crypto and physical precious metals.
There are huge advantages to cryptocurrencies, but there are also inherent risks because “virtual” money can become challenging to spend. Add in the push by central banks and governments to regulate or even replace cryptocurrencies with their own versions they control and the risks amplify. There’s nothing wrong with cryptocurrencies today but things can change rapidly.
As for physical precious metals, many Americans pay cash to keep plenty on hand in their safe. Rolling over or transferring retirement accounts into self-directed IRAs is also a popular option, but there are caveats. It can often take weeks or even months to get the gold and silver shipped if the owner chooses to close their account. This is why Genesis Gold Group stands out. Their relationship with the depositories allows for rapid closure and shipping, often in less than 10 days from the time the account holder makes their move. This can come in handy if things appear to be heading south.
Lots of Potable Water
One of the biggest shocks that hit new preppers is understanding how much potable water they need in order to survive. Experts claim one gallon of water per person per day is necessary. Even the most conservative estimates put it at over half-a-gallon. That means that for a family of four, they’ll need around 120 gallons of water to survive for a month if the taps turn off and the stores empty out.
Being near a fresh water source, whether it’s a river, lake, or well, is a best practice among experienced preppers. It’s necessary to have a water filter as well, even if the taps are still working. Many refuse to drink tap water even when there is no emergency. Berkey was our previous favorite but they’re under attack from regulators so the Alexapure systems are solid replacements.
For those in the city or away from fresh water sources, storage is the best option. This can be challenging because proper water storage containers take up a lot of room and are difficult to move if the need arises. For “bug in” situations, having a larger container that stores hundreds or even thousands of gallons is better than stacking 1-5 gallon containers. Unfortunately, they won’t be easily transportable and they can cost a lot to install.
Water is critical. If chaos erupts and water infrastructure is compromised, having a large backup supply can be lifesaving.
Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies
There are multiple threats specific to the medical supply chain. With Chinese and Indian imports accounting for over 90% of pharmaceutical ingredients in the United States, deteriorating relations could make it impossible to get the medicines and antibiotics many of us need.
Stocking up many prescription medications can be hard. Doctors generally do not like to prescribe large batches of drugs even if they are shelf-stable for extended periods of time. It is a best practice to ask your doctor if they can prescribe a larger amount. Today, some are sympathetic to concerns about pharmacies running out or becoming inaccessible. Tell them your concerns. It’s worth a shot. The worst they can do is say no.
If your doctor is unwilling to help you stock up on medicines, then Jase Medical is a good alternative. Through telehealth, they can prescribe daily meds or antibiotics that are shipped to your door. As proponents of medical freedom, they empathize with those who want to have enough medical supplies on hand in case things go wrong.
Energy Sources
The vast majority of Americans are locked into the grid. This has proven to be a massive liability when the grid goes down. Unfortunately, there are no inexpensive remedies.
Those living off-grid had to either spend a lot of money or effort (or both) to get their alternative energy sources like solar set up. For those who do not want to go so far, it’s still a best practice to have backup power sources. Diesel generators and portable solar panels are the two most popular, and while they’re not inexpensive they are not out of reach of most Americans who are concerned about being without power for extended periods of time.
Natural gas is another necessity for many, but that’s far more challenging to replace. Having alternatives for heating and cooking that can be powered if gas and electric grids go down is important. Have a backup for items that require power such as manual can openers. If you’re stuck eating canned foods for a while and all you have is an electric opener, you’ll have problems.
Don’t Forget the Protein
When most think about “prepping,” they think about their food supply. More Americans are turning to gardening and homesteading as ways to produce their own food. Others are working with local farmers and ranchers to purchase directly from the sources. This is a good idea whether doomsday comes or not, but it’s particularly important if the food supply chain is broken.
Most grocery stores have about one to two weeks worth of food, as do most American households. Grocers rely heavily on truckers to receive their ongoing shipments. In a crisis, the current process can fail. It behooves Americans for multiple reasons to localize their food purchases as much as possible.
Long-term storage is another popular option. Canned foods, MREs, and freeze dried meals are selling out quickly even as prices rise. But one component that is conspicuously absent in shelf-stable food is high-quality protein. Most survival food companies offer low quality “protein buckets” or cans of meat, but they are often barely edible.
Prepper All-Naturals offers premium cuts of steak that have been cooked sous vide and freeze dried to give them a 25-year shelf life. They offer Ribeye, NY Strip, and Tenderloin among others.
Having buckets of beans and rice is a good start, but keeping a solid supply of high-quality protein isn’t just healthier. It can help a family maintain normalcy through crises.
Prepare Without Fear
With all the challenges we face as Americans today, it can be emotionally draining. Citizens are scared and there’s nothing irrational about their concerns. Being prepared and making lifestyle changes to secure necessities can go a long way toward overcoming the fears that plague us. We should hope and pray for the best but prepare for the worst. And if the worst does come, then knowing we did what we could to be ready for it will help us face those challenges with confidence.
Important: Our sponsors at Jase are now offering emergency preparedness subscription medications on top of the long-term storage antibiotics they offer. Use promo code “Rucker10” at checkout!
That is exactly why I keep telling the people, ARM-UP because this is not going to get better. The one thing those cowards are afraid of is bullets and what we need now are a hand full of Kyle Rittenhouse type patriots to take down a bunch of rioters and believe me they’ll think twice before acting like sociopaths with an axe to grind.
Perhaps a warning by Lou Dobbs and Rudy Julianni yesterday made me think that maybe today is the time. Both gentlemen, highly educated in traditional education prior to America’s educational decline; and both gentlemen well versed in the law, especially Rudy being the ex fed prosecutor and who cleaned NY of crime some years ago; advised people to prepare to defend themselves BECAUSE our government law enforcement has been shown to not PROTECT conservatives and those of us on the center right. Clearly, our Nation is in decline with the corruption of Lady Justice and deliberate defunding and dissing of Law Enforcement. It’s so sad.
Life in a “Blue Spot”
Psychology is man made wisdom; though it is good at analyzing predictable patterns, it ultimately fails at getting to the root of the problem. Psychopathy has reached a boiling point in the black population. The root of the problem is single mother households without paternal guidance, no fear of God or His admonishment, and this poison culture that programs young men and women into feral animals full of racist hatred. Sadly, when you have a mix of low IQ, rage, and a shallow sense of entitlement, this becomes inevitable. this mind virus isn’t preying on just blacks, but also the Karen class of liberal white women, and effeminate men.
Behind that ugly curtain is a spiritual battleground run by demons, minions of satan; filled with an ancient hate that possesses and steers the world towards the end of all time and the return of the True King: Jesus Christ.
Very eloquently pit Adrian!
Click your heels together three times and say there’s no place like a collapsed society.
Tnere’s an ancient classic movie from the 1970s, from Europe, titled “Z” which captures this most cogently!
Whenever I vist an old invalided friend in Seattle to run errands foe him, the city looks worse and worse — once an almost pristine city, the downtown areas are now cesspools and human cesspools, too many “tranked out” or flesh—eating MDPV ghouls etc., afraid to speak to young coppers sporting MS–-13 tattoos (noticed the same on younger NYPD coppers in the NY POST photos?! (Like zerohedge, also owned by the Murdochs now!)

The situation is even far more insidious than most realize: Washington state a case in point! Gov. Xi Inslee has reduced the state prison propulation by at least one–third, meaning he’s dumped dangerous criminals, child killers and serial killers out on the public, and a number are immediately recruited by various police departments, perhaps that was the end game of the “defund the police movement”?
This is happening in too many other states as well, and then there’s legislation being introduced at the state level across the nation, allowing for the hiring of ILLEGALS (who cannot be properly vetted, as if that matters anymore) as police!
“Understand that there is a portion of any given adult population that has these same tendencies.”
We all know exactly who they are, but nobody in the media has the balls to say who this small demographic is.
Saying the root psychology is hard to explain is absurd. It’s not hard to explain. We simply are refusing to look at the root cause of the problem which then relates to the root cause of the “psychology”. The root cause of the problem is Republicans, aka “conservatives” The very simple concept of psychological coping mechanisms can be traced to projection. The fish rots from the head. Why is our nation and our culture devolving in this way? Because we have rejected fundamental principles of moral absolutes. Everything is relative to how a person feels. This will eventually lead to the legitimization of pedophilia which is coming and will be embraced.
Why are Republicans responsible? Very simple. Republicans sit back and engage in apathy and denial because they are unwilling to sacrifice anything for the better of our society. I can point to very clear examples of this. People question how we came this far so quickly into the toilet. Well, the answer is starting most of us in the face every single day. Social Media, Primarily Facebook although Twitter is no slouch. The entire Gay and Lesbian agenda, the Transgender nonsense, the denial of voter fraud as well as the push for the vaccines and demonization of proven treatments the government knew were effective from day one would not and could not have happened without a central megaphone.
Facebook essentially is empty calories. It provides no real value to society except creating division and strife allowing us to try to substitute meaningful interactions with the people around us instead looking for validation and approval from strangers. Even worse it gives the apathetic people who are not willing to get involved an opportunity to voice their outrage such as in comment sections so they can delude themselves into believing they are part of the solution. They are involved.
For those who make excuses they don’t engage in political discussions or only use these platforms to see pictures of their “grandkids” please don’t waste my time. However, did we see these pictures before and keep up with people? You can get text messages. You can pick up the phone to keep in touch, etc.
The problem is so pervasive that if the onset of the propaganda campaign against conservatives and truth resulted in every conservative closing their account overnight Facebook would have to stop or risk financial ruin. But we can’t even sacrifice for a short time for the long-term benefit. Because we are selfish. Not only selfish but selfish to the point of prioritizing non-essential entertainment over our “principles” and “values”. I use those words lightly.
Let’s move on to Amazon. Another billion-dollar corporation that massively funds far-left agendas, has engaged in censoring conservative books etc. Another completely non-essential component of our lives. We can and have lived without Amazon for thousands of years. But again, it’s so convenient. Why should we take a stand on principle and be inconvenienced? If I stop using Amazon, or Facebook it won’t make any difference. These are the excuses we make to ourselves and God. as our Country continues to devolve into a sewer.
I won’t bother covering Disney it’s self-explanatory. We have an entire industry dedicated to the sexual grooming of our Children yet we line up to pay thousands to consume their products with the explanation of my kids won’t understand why they can’t go. Well then perhaps you shouldn’t have kids if you are not willing to role model values and ethics for them. They don’t understand why they can’t have candy for breakfast every day either but most of us wouldn’t do that. Many of the people who claim to boycott Disney do so out of convenience because they don’t watch children’s programming. But they watch ESPN, the Star Wars films, the Marvel films etc. Still funding the beast.
Lastly, we have elected officials who have been lying to us for decades. I’m not talking about the Democrats. Surprisingly they are much more honest than the Republicans. They have done and continue to pursue exactly what they said they were going to do. It’s the Republicans who are complicit with them with their staged theater, phony investigations, and virtue signaling. And what do we do in response? Nothing. We had Kevin McCarthy who was far farther left than many Democrats working overtime to push their agenda through. The Republicans said if he didn’t follow through with his promises they would vacate him. When it became so egregious that one person pushed to vacate there were only 7 Republicans who followed through. Take a moment and think about that.
Anyone who voted to keep Kevin McCarthy is not fit for office. They are not representing the people who elected them. Why would they so brazenly defy the will of the people? Because in a few months, they will launch another staged phony investigation that will go nowhere, and “the people” will say, “Oh good they are taking action” despite this pattern being repeated a dozen times previously. They keep the phony narratives going to appease the apathy of the republicans who can’t be bothered picking up the phone and demanding action. So what did they do? They installed Kevin McCarthy, the sequel. A person who was unfit for the speaker’s chair based on the simple premise of voting to keep McCarthy. He has proven to be a worthy successor by all accounts. Not only has he pushed the Democrat’s agenda but he is now colluding with the far left and the Democrats to ensure Trump never steps foot in the White House again by suppressing the Jan 6 footage which would end the entire phony insurrection narrative. The phony narrative the FBI will use the footage is laughable. The FBI saw every minute of those tapes the week after it happened.
So I ask everyone? How many of you on here complaining have contacted their elected officials and told them if they don’t remove McCarthy they will be voting against them? You know who you are. How many people on here complaining have called their congressman and demanded the Jan 6 footage be released immediately or efforts will be made to recall them? I know, we don’t have the time. We have time for our favorite television shows, we have time for the SuperBowl, and our Sports. We have time for our Soap Operas but we don’t have time to get involved. That’s why we lose every time.
If the Jan 6 events had centered around a Democratic President and it was Democrats prosecuted for rioting which they do all the time and nothing happened the entire Democratic constituency in Congress would have walked out and shut down the entire Country. There would have been massive protests all over the Country. People would have been outraged and demanded action 24/7. You see the Democrats win because they are willing to fight. They are willing to sacrifice.
Now we have the Democrats, the Republicans, the Globalists, and the Deep State all working to ensure that Trump never steps foot in the White House again. Trump made a LOT of mistakes. His missteps over the vaccine are profound but he isn’t the one who created the long-term consequences that was the Biden Administration. People seem to forget that. Then out of the blue, we have Ron DeSantis who made a couple of moves to piss Democrats off and suddenly he is the Trump without the baggage splitting the Republicans to aid in ensuring Trump never gets to the White House. However, if you look at DeSantis objectively Florida is a Disaster. I’m not going into all the details but I live here. It’s a disaster. The cost of living is out of control. Wages are stagnant, we have the highest insurance in the Country across the board. Our hospital systems are a mess controlled by corporate interests and the Florida Wildlife Commission has fully embraced the Global Warming narrative pushing for draconian restrictions that would make Gavin Newsom proud. Oh but he pissed off Disney. People are obtuse. The Style over substance buys into someone who is supported by RINO money and endorsed and funded by globalists if you actually look at his history. There is a reason he didn’t wait until 2028 when he likely could have dominated. He was given orders to be out there now.
But let’s keep carrying the left’s water about the phony charges they manufacture against Trump and talk about his alleged infidelity and the efforts of the far-left media to discredit him. Let us delude ourselves that the media is supporting Trump when they do nothing but manufacture and create phony narratives to turn people against him. Let us as conservatives buy into the liberal mainstream narrative that Trump is bad. After all the liberal media has been right on so many other issues. Then let’s look at how much negative press DeSantis gets from the far left Press. Go ahead and google him and go through and count how much negative press. Most of it is magnifying his accusations against Trump. I would agree that Trump has made a lot of bad decisions and supporting DeSantis was certainly one of them. Let’s also take into consideration the FACT that DeSantis weaponized the Government to punish Disney for exercising their right to free speech. That’s a fact. I don’t support Disney but we don’t have two sets of rules regarding the constitution. DeSantis had no issue with Disney for 5 years. Not until they criticized him. Then he went after them. If Trump had done they would have created an entire network dedicated to covering that story 24/7. Go and find one person who reported on the hypocrisy of the Republicans going after the Biden administration over weaponizing the government while DeSantis essentially did the same thing.
You don’t have to even have all the facts. All you need to possess is critical thinking skills to see what’s going on. So essentially Republicans are the people who have run this country into the Ground. But don’t worry, You can all log into your Facebook accounts and complain. Remember when our forefathers were angry about overpriced tea they didn’t sit around sipping it complaining now did they? They threw it in the harbor. We don’t have patriots anymore in this Country for the most part.
It doesn’t matter because we all have to prepare for the Super Bowl and keep up with the NFL. Right after we post our outrage over cops being murdered because of the false narratives being shaped about them targeting minorities which is not supported by any actual data just rhetoric. We will ignore the fact the NFL aside from denigrating our Flag, our values, and our Nation funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars into those very organizations that have created and shaped this narrative. Let’s not forget many from the NFL went out publicly pushing for the deadly vaccine virtue signaling their ignorance for money. But we have to forget. We have to forget because otherwise, we can’t reconcile the fact that you can’t partake in agents of evil without coming away with blood on your hands. So the next time you want to complain about the state of the Nation, The next time you want to voice outrage over the murder of police officers, The next time you want to point a finger. Go into your bathroom and look over your sink and be sure that the person you see has a clean backyard before you start worrying about your neighbor.
Enjoy the Superbowl everyone. Rationalize your involvement in all of these things and continue to wonder why our nation will never recover and I assure you it won’t.
