Biden, who is set to leave office in two months, has previously been opposed to the idea of allowing U.S. missiles to be used deep inside Russia.

Moscow has repeatedly warned that such a move by the United States would be tantamount to direct involvement in the conflict and would trigger a response.

Putin Updates Nuclear Doctrine

Russian President Putin signed an updated nuclear doctrine on Nov. 19, lowering the threshold for using nuclear weapons. The updated doctrine now states that an attack on Russia by any nation using conventional missiles supplied by a nuclear power will be considered a joint attack on Russia.

Following the move, the White House said it has no plans to adjust its nuclear posture in response to Russia’s actions.

“As we said earlier this month, we were not surprised by Russia’s announcement that it would update its nuclear doctrine; Russia had been signaling its intent to update its doctrine for several weeks,” the White House National Security Council said in a statement.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Nov. 18 accused the Biden administration of “adding fuel to the fire” and “provoking further escalation.”

“President Putin has already explained it very simply. Ukraine does not carry out these strikes. After all, the strikes are carried out by those countries that give permission, because the Ukrainian military does not acquire the targets and provide the maintenance,” Peskov said. “This is done by military specialists from these Western countries, and this fundamentally changes the modality of their involvement in the conflict. This is the danger and the provocative nature of this situation.”

Earlier this month, Washington accused Russia of attempting to escalate the conflict by deploying more than 10,000 soldiers from North Korea to eastern Russia.

At the time, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned what he called a lack of response from Western allies over the move.

The Ukrainian leader has not yet commented on the alleged use of U.S.-made long-range missiles in Russia but he said during a joint press conference, alongside Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Kyiv earlier this week, that Ukraine has “long-range capabilities, including domestically produced drones, the Neptune (cruise missile), and now ATACMS.”

Zelenskyy added that Ukraine “will use all of these.”

Millions of Swedes are receiving the directives, entitled “in case of crisis of war” – which is an updated version of something the Swedish government issued six years ago. But now things are very different, given there is a hot war in Eastern Europe, and given Sweden is NATO’s newest member state. It’s all about being able to survive for a few days or a week, and imagines something like a shock invasion by a foreign hostile power.

The newly updated booklet is said to be twice the size as the one that was issued in the last decade. The other new NATO member, Finland, has also issued its own guidelines to the Finnish population on “preparing for incidents and crisis”. Big business has a baby problem. Specifically, many of America’s largest corporations have a problem with babies and therefore with working parents — especially working mothers.

Alexandra DeSanctis and I recently published a report for the Ethics and Public Policy Center documenting the family policies of the Fortune 100. We found that about half of these corporate behemoths champion abortion for their employees; after the Dobbs decision, they made a point of announcing that their employee health care plans will cover abortion tourism for workers who live in states that restrict ending human lives in utero.

No doubt many more companies quietly cover the costs of travel for abortion as part of standardized health care plans. But the corporations touting abortion tourism as a major benefit are sending a message to their employees: Babies are hazardous to your lifestyle, your career, and our bottom line.

Such enthusiastic corporate support for abortion suggests a C-suite culture that would rather pay for abortions than cover the costs of workers having babies. There is the implicit premise that babies are a potential problem to be managed rather than persons to be welcomed and that workers (especially women) need to carefully time having babies to optimize their careers (and, of course, the company’s profits). Perhaps most egregiously, the organization facilitated an unconscionable transfer of wealth from the most disadvantaged to the pharmaceutical and corporate elites.

This wasn’t an unfortunate mistake — it was a calculated, intentional response to a manufactured crisis. Instead of focusing on protecting the most vulnerable, the WHO facilitated a global power grab, censoring dissent and offering unprecedented privileges to its corporate sponsors. Fostering a climate of fear and control, the WHO set the stage for future exploitation. The result? A generation of young people with stolen opportunities, impoverished nations saddled with insurmountable debt, billions of dollars in profit funneled to pharmaceutical giants and a holocaust ignored.

The WHO’s failure isn’t just a case of poor leadership or bad decisions — it’s a reflection of deep-rooted structural corruption. The organization’s original mission, established in 1946, was to ensure health equity and protect the world’s most vulnerable. But over time, it has become a grotesque shadow of that ideal. Its executives, insulated by lavish salaries and funded by the very corporations it claims to regulate, are increasingly detached from the people they were supposed to serve. Davos elite will continue to threaten human freedom and health, while pretending to keep people safe

Take, for example, the WHO’s recent push to amend the International Health Regulations (IHR) under the guise of pandemic preparedness. The WHO, once a facilitator of global health equity, has become an instrument for a biosecurity agenda that prioritizes global control and private profits over the health and freedom of individuals.

The WHO’s hand is forced by the pharmaceutical industry and the wealthy figures who look to capitalize from vaccine investments. The more money these companies pump into the organization, the more influence they wield over its policies. And the results are devastating. The WHO’s advisory guidelines on things like abortion, gender identity, vaccine skepticism and climate change reflect this unholy alliance. Its push for universal abortion access up until birth, no questions asked, and its endorsement of extreme gender ideology, show a stunning disregard for biological truth and basic human dignity.

The global health industry, in which the WHO plays a pivotal role, is increasingly dominated by a commodity-based approach that uses healthcare as a weapon. Market exclusivity and other profit motives restrict access to healthcare. A corrupt insurance industry eliminates alternative, holistic and individualized approaches to healthcare and stops the progression of healing modalities from being accepted. From Big Pharma to the private donors funding international health initiatives, this industry is driven by the bottom line — whether that means selling dangerous vaccines, controlling supply chains or pushing austerity measures on poor nations. To reform healthcare and restore trust in medical professionals, WHO must be dismantled and its sordid influences must be removed from every healthcare systems.
