Several people have been stabbed at a festival in Solingen in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany on Friday evening as witnesses report that an “Arab-looking” man fled the scene. As of publication, reports indicated three individuals have been confirmed dead, and an additional nine people are listed in critical condition.
German media reports that dozens of rescue workers are currently on site to tend to the wounded and help resuscitate those stabbed by the alleged attacker. Police in the city have declared an emergency situation, and witnesses to the attack say a man who looked to be of Arab background had committed the attack.
