Since Vice President Kamala Harris’ loss last month, Democrats have begun to blame each other for the outcome, with some, like Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, suggesting the party could have held an open primary for a stronger candidate if Biden had ended his reelection bid sooner. On “The Victor Davis Hanson Show,” co-host Jack Fowler said it appears Trump is in control of foreign affairs, with world leaders requesting meetings with him — even though Biden will remain in office until mid-January.
“I was thinking that too, Jack,” Hanson said. “They tried to destroy Michael Flynn for so called, remember, conducting foreign policy when he was not yet officially in office by supposedly talking to a Russian diplomat. Remember that, right?”
Hanson went on to claim that if Biden were “sane,” Democrats would be going after Trump. However, due to concerns about the president’s mental fitness, they have seemingly stopped pushing their policies, and Hanson highlighted recent moments in which Biden was criticized for appearing confused while on in front of the press and, at times, speaking incoherently. (RELATED: Anti-Trump Republican Admits Biden’s Pardon Makes It Tougher To Convince Middle America Trump Is ‘A Unique Threat’)
“But my point is this, is that if Joe Biden was president, and he was sane, and they would go after Trump. But the reason they’re not going after Trump is even the left knows there is no president. There is a president in name only who was put there as a facade to leverage a hard left agenda, and that facade has now dissipated, evaporated. So there’s nothing there,” Hanson said. […]

President-elect Donald Trump’s immigration platform includes a number of hardline measures, such as resuming construction on the U.S.-Mexico border wall, reviving the Remain in Mexico program for asylum seekers, conducting the largest deportation operation in U.S. history and a number of other hawkish proposals. Trump allies and upcoming administration officials have also called on the U.S. to officially designate key drug cartels as terrorist organizations, which would open more resources to combating the crime syndicates that have long sowed chaos at the southern border. “The drug cartels are waging war on America — and it’s now time for America to wage war on the cartels,” then-candidate Trump said in December 2023, and declared that his plan to fight the cartels included designating them as foreign terrorist organizations.
“Millions and millions of families and people are being destroyed,” he continued. “When I am back in the White House, the drug kingpins and vicious traffickers will never sleep soundly again.”
Nearly a year after that announcement was made, Trump is now due to return to the White House for a non-consecutive second term, bringing his proposal for cartels far closer to reality. […]

The DOJ argued Wednesday that Dr. Eithan Haim’s discussion of his case on X created “a substantial likelihood of prejudicing the Government, further tainting the jury pool, and impeding the Court’s ability to hold a fair trial.” Prosecutors cited posts Haim made highlighting the judge’s heavy criticism of the government’s conduct during a hearing last week.
During a Friday hearing, Judge David Hittner, a Reagan appointee, pressed prosecutors on why they included a word in their indictment that wasn’t in the original statute, according to the transcript. “It’s obvious that the government didn’t proofread or review the superseding indictment to prevent these errors, but are you going to file another superseding indictment or what?” the judge asked.
Haim posted sections of the transcript on X and wrote that the DOJ “so thoroughly embarrassed themselves, it’s hard to comprehend how this is still ongoing.” […]

The advisory pointed out heightened risks for firms supporting Ukraine’s military efforts against Moscow’s ongoing invasion, according to the public bulletin issued by the National Counterintelligence and Security Center. The warning comes after a series of incidents in Europe, which officials attribute to Russian covert operations aimed at undermining Ukraine’s allies.
“Russia’s sabotage activities in Europe increase the risk to U.S. companies abroad and potentially at home,” the officials wrote in the warning. “Such sabotage operations can sow fear and doubt, damage important infrastructure, disrupt commerce, or cause injury and death.”

Recent sabotage cases include arson attacks targeting defense firms and logistics hubs in the United Kingdom and Poland. They also include attempts to compromise public utilities and military installations, the bulletin said. Intelligence officials believe Russian operatives often recruit local criminals to execute these actions, adding a layer of plausible deniability to their activities. […]

President-elect Donald Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris, securing more than the 270 electoral votes necessary to win the presidency in the early morning of Nov. 6 after making substantial gains among both black and Hispanic voters in pre-election polling, largely due to the economy. Democratic strategist Fred Hicks claimed the party was engaged in “soul searching” when he claimed the “economy was strong.” (RELATED: ‘I Would Love An Answer’: Faulkner Asks Dem Guest Point-Blank If His Party Is Actually Accepting Drubbing With Grace)
“Donald Trump won the election, and Democrats are very clear on that. Some people who wonder if there was some monkeying around with it,” Hicks claimed. “We have except the results of the election in 2024. We saw that last week when President Biden welcoming president-elect Donald Trump to the White House. With that being said, at the same time, we’re trying to figure out what happened because the economy was strong and is strong.”
Since President Joe Biden and Harris took office in January 2021, prices rose by over 20%, while the Consumer Price Index (CPI) reached a high of 9% in June 2022. By comparison, the CPI grew 1.4% year-over-year in January 2021, when Trump left office, while the average price for a gallon of gas was under $2.25 the same year, according to GasBuddy.com.
“You say that but people were not strong. You look at America but you don’t see the Americans who said they were not strong in the pocketbook. That food prices were too high. You are still saying it,” Faulkner told Hicks, who responded by claiming it was a “disconnect” between them. […]

The Chinese government advertises the “Root-Seeking Summer Camp In China” as an opportunity for ethnically Chinese children living in the U.S. and other countries to immerse themselves in Chinese language and culture. However, a DCNF review of Chinese government announcements and the program’s website discovered the camps are overseen by a Chinese influence and intelligence service.
The program not only exposes participants as young as 10 years old to CCP propaganda, but some even operate like boot camps run by officers from the People’s Liberation Army and Ministry of Public Security, Chinese government social media posts reveal.
“The long arm of the CCP’s malign influence extends into the United States and seeks to assert an illegitimate claim on all those of Chinese ancestry — regardless of their nationality,” Michigan Republican Rep. John Moolenaar told the DCNF.
“We need to protect all those on American soil from the CCP’s authoritarian agenda, particularly by educating the American public on the true nature of the Party and its dystopian vision,” said Moolenaar, chairman of the House Select Committee on the CCP. The Republican’s letter, obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation, was addressed to top network executives at Fox, CBS, Disney and NBCUniversal. Cramer’s letter called out the networks for biased coverage of President-elect Donald Trump.
“Eight years ago, I sent a letter to your predecessors on behalf of concerned citizens nationwide, addressing the blatant media bias observed during the 2016 Presidential Election,” Cramer wrote. “To date, none of your perspective networks have responded. Following the 2024 Presidential Election, I find myself compelled to write once more — this time with even greater urgency.”
Letter Addressing Media Bias Post-2024 Election
There have been various examples of apparent media bias in the past few years, such as when journalists Linsey Davis and David Muir faced criticism after they moderated the ABC News presidential debate between Trump and Harris on Sept. 10, as many viewers felt like it was unfairly rigged against Trump. Hegseth, a “Fox and Friends” weekend co-host who served in the National Guard for 20 years and made multiple combat deployments, was announced Tuesday night as Trump’s pick to run the Pentagon. Jennings said that the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan and the attempt to deploy a mobile pier in Gaza called the insiders’ competence.
“Does anybody have confidence in the current leadership of the Pentagon and the way the defense situation has been operating for the last several years?” Jennings asked the panel. “I mean, from the Afghanistan pullout, which was an extreme debacle for which no one was held accountable, we’ve had spy balloons flying over the United States, we built the $300 million pier as a public relations stunt which wound up killing an American service member.”
“I would say I’ve had just about enough of the so-called ‘insiders’ running the Defense Department, I think we ought to give Pete Hegseth a chance.” Jennings continued, prompting journalist Carl Bernstein to ask, “You think that’s about insiders?”
Jennings referenced the thirteen service members who were killed in an Aug. 26, 2021 bombing as American forces were evacuating from Kabul, as well as a pier built to deliver relief supplies to Gaza, which cost taxpayers over $230 million and was operational for just a few weeks, during which one soldier died of injuries sustained while operating the pier.
“All the criticism of him is that he is not the expected Washington pick and I am just saying to you that the American people just voted against the expected Washington pick,” Jennings responded. “He has 20 years in service, Afghanistan, Iraq, two Bronze Stars, Princeton, Harvard. Yeah, he is on TV, but so are the rest of us. I think he ought to be given a chance.”
Trump previously announced that former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe would be nominated as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency and that Republican Rep. Michael Waltz of Florida, a former Green Beret, would serve as national security advisor.
He once again shattered the blue wall, and earned the highest popular vote ever recorded by a Republican presidential candidate, substantially narrowing the gap in states like California, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and Illinois. Republicans have also taken control of the Senate and are poised to hold onto the House of Representatives.
Trump promised to dramatically reshape government, foreign policy, national security and especially the economy. The president-elect understands that a sound energy policy is the foundation for all of these.
One of his top campaign promises was to unleash America’s energy potential and lower gasoline and electricity prices for American families. Given all the damage done by the Biden-Harris administration in this area, lasting changes will require more than executive action; they will require the support of Congress.
To facilitate this attention, House Republicans should create an Energy and Natural Resources Committee. […]

Since Trump won both the Electoral College and the popular vote, Democrats have had a wide range of reactions and responses to their party’s loss. On “The Victor Davis Hanson Show,” Hanson stated that Trump will bring a “return to normalcy” regarding illegal immigration, noting that Democrats will most likely push back.
“But I will issue a warning to everybody, you haven’t seen the left. When you start deporting people, even with a criminal record, they’re going to be on CNN weeping and crying. They’re going to be on the internet [saying], ‘This is like Hitler.’ So brace yourself,” Hanson said.
Hanson went on to state that while he believes some sanctuary cities may push back against federal penalties for not assisting in the deportation of illegal immigrants, liberals won’t be able to blame a lack of federal funds.
“If you say that a sanctuary city is not going to get [money] — if it insists and it will not get certain types of federal funds [then] people say, ‘Oh, my daughter was killed on the freeway because it wasn’t fixed,’” Hanson added. “The same left-wing mind that looks over here at High-Speed Rail, this Stonehenge six miles from my house — $15 billion — nothing. There’s the most dangerous freeway in the world parallel to it, the 99.” […]
