A U.S. citizen (USC) was caught smuggling illegal aliens in New Mexico using a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTC), authorities say.
The bust unfolded last week in U.S Border Patrol’s (USBP) El Paso Sector.
Assisted by Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations, USBP agents from Santa Teresa station tracked down a large UTV in the New Mexico desert.
The vehicle, driven by a USC, was also transporting three illegal aliens of undisclosed origin.
“UTVs are increasingly being used in smuggling schemes to camouflage and avoid detection,” El Paso Sector Chief Anthony Good explained in a statement. […]
