As allegations emerge against former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) over her potential crimes while serving as vice chair of the January 6 Select Committee, President Donald Trump has warned that the disgraced ex-congresswoman “could be in a lot of trouble.”
Trump responded after a new report from House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) found that Cheney broke “numerous federal laws” while serving on the Democrats’ anti-Trump Jan. 6 Committee.
House Republicans are urging the FBI to investigate Cheney for infractions.
The allegations include witness tampering during the “investigation” of the Jan. 6, 2021, protests at the Capitol.
