Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced that he would visit Springfield, Ohio, and Aurora, Colo., as both cities struggle to contend with an influx of illegal aliens.
“I’m going to go there in the next two weeks. I’m going to Springfield and I’m going to Aurora,” he said at a rally in Uniondale, N.Y.
“You may never see me again, but that’s okay,” he quipped. “Got to do what I got to do. What happened to Trump? Well, he never got out of Springfield.”
Springfield has attracted national attention amid the influx of tens of thousands of illegal immigrants from Haiti. Recent reports have drawn national headlines over claims that some have been eating local pets and wildlife. Aurora, for its part, drew headlines after a Venezuelan gang overtook several apartment complexes in the city.
