Hillary Clinton has canceled her appearance at a fundraiser event for Kamala Harris at the Hamptons, reportedly because she came down with COVID-19 after the Democratic National Convention.
According to Page Six of the New York Post, Clinton bowed out of the night at the Hamptons fundraiser for the Harris-Walz camp last Monday. The Post reported that sources said that she came down with COVID-19 ahead of the event and was not in attendance.
Sources cited by the outlet said that Bill Clinton and as well as Doug Emhoff have stepped into the role to fill in for Hillary. The event was held at the residence of Richard and Lisa Perry, two wealthy art collectors in the Hamptons. They are known to own paintings from blue-chip artists such as Frank Stella, Alexander Calder, Ellsworth Kelly and Donald Judd.
Tickets for the highest tier at the event costed $100,000 each and an invitation received by the outlet said, “This is likely to be one of the last small events in the NY area before the election, so it is not to be missed.” […]
