AP Photo/Rick Scuteri Super Bowl-winning coach Jon Gruden was officially canceled last week after his decade-old emails were leaked by someone at the NFL office . Included in them were offensive language toward Michael Sam, Roger Goodell, and others. Though the emails were not recent and private, Gruden was immediately pushed out of the Raiders organization, only four years into a 10-year contract.
In the aftermath, the NFL claimed that out of the 650,000 emails they went through, only Gruden’s contained anything problematic. That’s a completely unbelievable contention and leaves the open question being why only Gruden’s emails went public.
